While others have been silenced by the COVID-19 pandemic others have found a way to pick up their tools and in this instance pick up the mic and Rap. Such is the inspiring South African Rapper by the name Charlee Hustle who happens to be female on her latest solo effort titled "Gimme The Mic". Just two week into lock down and the Richards Bay born artist went in her zone to give us this bar for bar showcase of smooth lyrical prowess reminiscent of FiFi Cooper but with her own Charlee Hustle vibe.
Now based in Johannesburg where she runs a Non-Profit Human Rights Organisation called "Humanity Must Rise", Charlee Hustle fell in love with Hip Hop in her teens and subsequently released her first single titled Way Up in 2018. The onslaught of releases would continue in 2019 releasing over 7 singles on digital stores and also featuring other South African artists. With hip hop being all about free expression she carries this to her Humanity Must Rise NPO as she empowers women and children through Motivational Speaking and various Youth Development events at schools around the country.
Do look out for her upcoming debut EP already in the works and keep up with her release of singles via the following social media accounts as Charlee Hustle promises to keep shining now and beyond. All we got to do is, "Gimme (give her) The Mic".
