Zambia’s hardest working rapper by the name Slick-One has a debut album to his name titled "The Inception" (officially released online on 04/12/2019). The body of work is a 17 track project with 2 bonus tracks. This project was executive produced by Chungu "Slick-One" Katontoka himself as he went on overdrive to make sure he gives us the best product possible. Some notable singles that we enjoyed came in the form of singles such as Zuba Na Mpepo featuring Voodoo Child and produced by Sarrz Beatz released as far back as 7th February, 2019. He already had the foresight of the project and what it would sound like.
In September Song Slick-One was at it again this time featuring Kunkeyani Tha Jedi on a song titled Sugar & Spice produced once again by Sarrz Beatz but this time he went further and made sure there was a video Directed by Verb of Levelz Studios to accompany the music. According to Slick-One, the song is Slick-One’s way of subtly warning the competition that he is not here to play games and just like the combination of sugar & spice, he is nothing nice. After the release another well timed statement single was released in the form of the song titled "P S R O M N" (Put Some Respect On My Name) featuring Scott & Klappa Heiz. I guess it was very fitting because once you listen to the The Inception album you definitely have to "P S R O M N" (Put Some Respect On My Name).
The project features some of Zambian Hip-Hop's finest acts like Voodoo Child, K.R.Y.T.I.C, Ollee Benjamin, TIM, Klappa Heiz, Kunkeyani Tha Jedi, and many more. There’s plenty more stand out singles like the opening track Do Right By You for example. This track just sets the mood and tone of great songs to come like Real Ones and Good Times. We won’t spoil it for you by naming and rating everything so that you can also discover your favorite jams in there too. Overall, it’s a great body of work from LSK (Lusaka, Zambia) rapper Slick-One and it is worth checking out via this link below for purchase and streaming https://fanlink.to/SlickOneTheInception
